Sorry for being so MIA...I know, I know--I shouldn't be allowed to blog! But I'm ready to start again and really embrace the community aspect of what blogging is truly about. I do apologize....I work 45 hours a week at a full-time job and somewhere along the line attempt to rehearse with my worship team, hang out with friends, and see my family... you'd be surprised how little four people who live together actually get to see each other! I'd ask for an extra day in the week but in retrospect that would be pretty horrible at times!
I do want to throw in a few ideas for this blog, though. Let me know what you think, or if there's a certain theme you'd like to see. Makeup, hair, and fashion will forever be a part of this blog, that's a given; I'd also like to throw in a certain day of the week where I post things that have inspired me throughout; also I'd like an LOL day, haha--something that'll put a smile on anyone's face :)
So.... haven't written since my trip to San Jose in January--yikes! To give you a SparkNotes version of my life, here it is:
1. Yes, I'm still single. And no, I'm not hating it ;)
2. I work full-time now for a mortgage company. It seemed boring at first, but I think I may have actually found a career possibility.
3. Yes, I'm still somewhat doing school. Not gonna lie, the focus has shifted more towards work due to personal financial issues.
That's about all you really need to know about me, not that there's a whole lot...haha.
Oh, I do actually have a fashion post for you.
This is me and one of my best friends, my partner in crime. It came out blurry, which was a huge bummer especially since I felt pretty cute that night--despite my wardrobe malfunction (more on that in a bit)!! Whenever I go out, I do love dresses but I really love a good top and skirt. And since I will forever love lace and sheer fabrics, I wore a black bandeau underneath a coral lace top that was sleeveless and had a collar, then added your classic black mini and black cage heels (not shown, sorry). My friend knows how to make the most of her curves! She wore a dress (orginially meant to be a shirt) in a pink, white, and gray floral pattern, then belted it in the middle with a black belt. I wish you could have seen our shoes!!! Hers were a cheetah print peep-toe pumps with bows near the toes (rhyme not intended). And they where a black and pink color, which really went with the dress. We went to supperclub in Hollywood for an early 4th of July celebration. Let me just say....I love LA!
My hair ended up being pretty decent that night, considering I got ready after the gym...AND I was a dummy and forgot any hair ties whatsoever, so I tried not to work out extremely hard so as not to sweat too much and ruin my hair. But dampening it with a little water and letting it dry in a bun held up by bobby pins (a complete miracle) + a blast or two with a blowdryer did wonders. Bonus points for it looking longer in this picture! I'm still mourning my hair from the dreaded but necessary chopping appointment I made on Christmas eve last year......if you know of any tips on how to make hair grow back fast (but still healthy) do not, and I mean, DO NOT hesistate to let me know!
That's all for tonight.....gotta get up early for the daily grind! Goodnight lovelies =)
